The short version
The Cost of Love app does not collect your personal information. There are no accounts, no advertising, no tracking, and no analytics. Nothing you do in the app is sent to us.
What the app stores
The book’s pages, illustrations, and audio are included in the app itself and stay on your device. Your reading position and your settings (such as audio on or off, or your choice of manual or slideshow mode) are saved only on your device. We cannot see them.
What we do not do:
- We do not ask for your name, email address, or phone number.
- We do not create accounts or profiles.
- We do not show advertising.
- We do not use analytics or tracking tools.
- We do not request your location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
- We do not sell or share any information about you, because we do not have any.
Software updates
The app checks for its own software updates over the internet, using the update service provided by Expo (expo.dev). That check tells the update service only what it needs in order to hand back the right update file, such as the app version and the device platform. It does not include anything about you or your reading.
Purchases
This release of the app is free. If a purchase is offered in a future version, it will take place on this website and will be handled by our payment processor, which will have its own privacy terms. We do not receive or store card numbers.
Children
This app is intended for adults. The book is adult devotional poetry and is not a children’s book. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal information about you, there is nothing for us to look up, correct, export, or delete. If you delete the app, everything the app saved on your device goes with it.
